Tension Splash

Formed in Ann Arbor in 1992, Tension Splash released a nationally-acclaimed self-titled album (1993) and follow up EP (Soak, 1994) with gold-record producer/engineer Tim Patalan (Sponge), before going on long-term hiatus in 1997. When bass player Mike Bertsch died suddenly in 2020, the remaining members (Gray, vocals/guitar; Nick, lead guitar; Sean, drums) decided to honor him by completing four tracks recovered from Tim's vault, left over from the Soak sessions. The result was the 2025 "Blur" EP. 2026 will see the release of a an entirely new version of Soak, with brand new music to come.
