Collaborations are forever going to be the ultimate representation of our indie community as it definitely IS and certainly CAN BE- the union of artists (sometimes uniting from across the world) to create these collaborative works of musical beauty and art is always going to be a marvellous reflection of an indie scene which celebrates and highlights one another’s gifts and talents, which genuinely and honestly supports and encourages each other. This piece with the production team that is Db Productions (also legendary indie artists R-an-D) being the Main Artist with the immensely amazing band Windigo Drifter as the featured artists along with lyricist/composer Chad Burcaw writing “One Day” and finally on this collaboration Diana Lombana (R-an-D) is working on the engineering. A full, comprehensive and very different collaboration yet remaining a masterpiece of collaborative genius. Absolutely love the grit filled quality and textures within this song (which was definitely unexpected, but immensely satisfying-when I think of Windigo Drifter there’s almost a progressive rock tinge and a fair bit of shimmer to their music, with Ryan and Diana’s music there’s an elegance and artistry to their work)- this is definitely a work which stands out in its own right as a wonderful work of sonic art and the result of indie artists utterly collaborating in every sense-bringing out something unique and truly special. An awesome piece which is staggeringly jaw dropping. Stunning guitars from Windigo Drifter, shifting through acoustics to electric guitar-when that solo hits …you can definitely feel it. A virtuosic effort from each collaborator. A Fantastic journey in a short space of time.
