1 Review for Jason Montero
From the Things I’ve Said
Jason Montero brings us all the best qualities from our indie community with “From The Things I’ve Said” and more here. Another reason to be astounded at the vast range of amazing artists we’re fortunate to have among us.
Jason Montero · From the Things I’ve Said ·Inside Out
A new artist to my mind’s ear from around our indie musical landscape…however with this song and listening through his catalog, Jason Montero has most definitely left a lasting impression-here is another example of what our scene is consistently capable of producing-and an artist I’m immensely pleased to have been given the opportunity to hear through our Driven Community. After glancing through Jason’s back catalog and noticing with a keen Beatles fan eye there was a Paul McCartney composed Beatles cover right there from Jason (“The Fool on The Hill” and at first glance at the title of this track- “From The Things I’ve Said” I had the impression we have a McCartney fan in our midst-assuming this was based on the Paul McCartney composed “Things We Said Today” from The Beatles album “Hard Day’s Night” (which-on listening instantly found this assumption was wrong-this indeed is one incredibly written original piece)) However what we have here is an incredibly unique and high quality original piece with an uptempo feel giving a sense of urgency to this composition. A track which consistently returns to the sixteenth note hi hat introduction and shows a very well crafted song. I’ve now been quite fortunate to have had the chance to have heard quite a good sample of Jason Montero’s music- and we can indeed say our indie community is in good hands. There is always someone with real human experience and incredible talent to be able to play and write songs as fantastic as this. Jason Montero has expressed his real human emotion here in “From The Things I’ve Said” and we have yet another track from the vast depth of talent available in our indie community to inspire us all.
