It begins with what you believe is going to be a beautiful, haunting yet epic ballad with an equally powerful vocal. In Crowsilver’s lead vocalist Sonia Hutchinson, we certainly get a vocalist of magnificent talent yet here we are also gifted with an absolutely spellbinding performance from a full band with superb guitars subtle, sublime bass guitar line and sometimes soothing, other times very powerful drums each supporting and taking the lead in an exemplary display of musicianship and sheer sonic power. “Lord of Dreams” is quite noteworthy in its musical structure-there’s a surprise hidden straight in plain sight after each swirl of vocal beauty-the guitars bring powerfully sonic bursts, the drums and bass add immense depth to the musicianship and support. The band Crowsilver arrives and deliver a knockout powerful performance- brilliant. The dynamic shifts and twists and turns consistently draw you in back to that swirling dervish like vocal and then back out to the heavy and solid guitar and drums. Great songwriting and an all round display of creativity and talent which again leaves you with feelings of great pride and gratitude to belong on this same planet with such exceptional people and artists as each member here of the brilliantly all round talents in Crowsilver are.
