LUDIOSIS

I am a solo artist based in the UK writing and recording riff based rock music across various sub genres under the artist name LUDIOSIS. LUDIOSIS has been 30+ years in the making. Although I have only been releasing music under this mantle for about a year I have been writing and playing music since my early teens. Some of the songs I’ve released are as old as that too! Originally listening to mostly guitar instrumental music via my dad who was a recording guitarist in his own right it was when me and a friend decided to start a band without either of us being able to play an instrument that I started on my road to playing guitar and writing songs. I progressed through various bands with various school friends and played predominantly local gigs. Some of the bands showed some early promise but never led to it being a career and then adult life took over. Playing and writing fell by the wayside for longer than I’d have liked and then it was during COVID I picked up the guitar again and started making parody videos of old TV themes that I played guitar covers of which gained some local following and even made a segment on the news. This reignited my passion for playing and I started a rock and metal covers band before thinking about re-recording and releasing my catalogue of songs I’d written. I’ve never been very confident in terms of my playing and singing ability and is one of the reasons I record and mix everything myself through fear of people hearing the raw tracks in isolation! The first album ‘Falling in Time’ released last year was exclusively songs I’d written many years ago that I’d always wanted to do decent versions of. My second and latest album (The Light in Darkness) is a mix of old and new songs and more reflects the influences I listen to such as Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Alice in Chains, among many others. I have no sad backstory that drives me but it’s just a feeling inside. Music has always been such a massive part of my life and the different songs and bands that have had and continue to have a major impact on me and I just want to be able to try and create something that positively affects others in the same way if possible through the music I make.
