This song is about the many years I worked as a roofer. It’s very inspired by the Robert Earl Keen songwriting style. My good friend and former roofing coworker Karl Haug, who happens to be an amazing session guitarist, joined us in the studio for this one. I told him to play the solo as though he would never have to set foot onto another roof. I was very happy with the result.
