Artist Biography
Rob Bennett is a Kingston, Ontario–born songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer now based in Milton, Delaware. He began touring straight out of high school before earning a Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education focused on vocal and instrumental music.
Classically trained on guitar, Bennett spent 30 years teaching instrumental and vocal music with the Durham District School Board while continuing to write and perform. Today, he works independently from his home studio, writing, recording, producing, and mixing his own material. His debut fully independent album, Introverted, reflects a deliberate return to music shaped by experience rather than trend.

Co-Writer & Vocalist
Nate Frary is a songwriter based in Dayton, Ohio, with nearly 30 years of writing experience. His writing process is guided by the emotional tone of the music, allowing lyrics to emerge organically rather than follow a fixed narrative.

Song Collaboration
This song was co-created by Rob Bennett and Nate Frary. Bennett composed the music and handled the recording and production, while Frary shaped the lyrical perspective and vocal performance. The song approaches grief from an intimate but open-ended place — originally imagined as a parent mourning the loss of a child, while remaining broad enough to reflect any profound personal loss.
